Michael McCleave, CPA, CA, LPA

Mike is a confident business advisor to clients, and plays an important role in helping to resolve their complex business issues.

A graduate of the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Mathematics degree, Mike joined Stern Cohen more than 30 years ago, and soon after received his CA designation.

In 1995, Mike became a Partner and is today responsible for the firm’s leadership and management as Stern Cohen’s Managing Partner. He provides assurance, business advisory and tax planning services to a variety of owner-managed business clients.  As a result of his many years of experience, Mike has an extensive knowledge of the distribution, wholesale and service sectors.  In addition, he is the partner in charge of the firm’s estate accounting group and leads Stern Cohen’s internal information technology team.

Away from the office, Mike enjoys staying active, suiting up for baseball games and the occasional round of golf.  You can also find him tackling a landscaping or home renovation project with his wife and grown sons.
