Julie ensures business owners and not-for-profit organizations are aware of Stern Cohen’s accounting, bookkeeping and tax services. If you found us via Google search – that’s probably down to her!

After joining the firm in 2013, Julie modernized the Stern Cohen brand with a new logo and website. Her efforts were recognized with an Association of Accounting Marketing Achievement Award in 2015. This website is her second baby, and she’d like to thank Jay Eckert and the amazing team at Parachute Design Group for their partnership.

Julie graduated from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver with degrees in English Literature and Education. Her career started with teaching in Japan and in Nunavut.  She brings over 20 years of experience with sales and marketing in the professional services and IT industries.

Julie is a member of the Association for Accounting Marketing and has volunteered on their website committee.  She’s an avid tennis player, fan and a member of the East York Tennis Club. When not playing tennis, you’ll find her at the gym or on the Danforth.

What’s the most rewarding thing about working with Stern Cohen?

I knew zero about accounting before I joined Stern Cohen, but it’s a fascinating industry and I love rising to the challenge due to the intense competition in this market.  I’ve been able to demonstrate significant return on investment from marketing and that is truly rewarding.  Selecting an accounting firm is a very important decision. So being able to showcase the great value clients receive at Stern Cohen is a job I take seriously.

We put our clients first. Our advisors and services are highly regarded in the industry.  We’re modern and open minded, so it’s been a lot of fun to market our one of a kind brand. We’re a friendly and diverse group of dedicated people always willing to lend a hand – I love that! Plus we have Fridays off, with pay, in the summer.  More time for tennis! 🙂
