Saverio is thrilled to rejoin Stern Cohen as Principal for our Owner-Managed Business team. He has over 25 years’ experience in the accounting industry working in both private industry and at small, medium and large public accounting firms. His deep expertise is a tremendous benefit to Stern Cohen’s business owner client base.

Saverio received his Honours Bachelor of Business Commerce degree (HB Comm) and went on to earn his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Laurentian University. He completed his CPA, CGA designations in 2000.

A true jack of all trades, Saverio has depth and breadth in the accounting industry. He is comfortable providing tax, year-end financials, and controller services. Saverio chose Stern Cohen because of the opportunity to provide the full gamut of services to meet business owners’ many needs.

When not at the office, you might find Saverio in a Peloton class. Other passions include taking advantage of Toronto’s great restaurant scene and travelling to destinations around the globe.

What do clients appreciate about you?

Clients rely on my thorough knowledge of accounting and tax, but what they also appreciate is my positive attitude, communication skills, and how quickly I respond to their requests.   While technical expertise is critical, these “soft skills” allow me to develop a strong working relationship with my clients.

What’s the most rewarding thing about being an accountant?

The most rewarding thing about being an accountant is being able to help business owners understand the financial realities of their businesses.  Working with an experienced CPA like myself gives a business owner more confidence in making management decisions. In the end, our partnership helps their business succeed and grow.
