Fluent in English and Russian
When Natalia is not impressing clients with her sharp accounting skills (and sense of humour), she has a strong passion for the outdoors and travel. She’s one of the fastest hikers in her local trekking club and loves reaching summits for spectacular views, especially in the Adirondack mountains in New York State.
Natalia began her undergraduate degree at York University in Toronto and in 2008 achieved an Honors Bachelor degree in Administrative Studies specializing in Accounting and Finance. After learning she had a keen aptitude for accounting, Natalia received her CGA and CPA designations. Natalia is fluent in English and Russian and is able to assist clients in either language.
Since 2008, Natalia has worked at several small to mid-sized public accounting firms in the Greater Toronto Area gaining expertise in many industries including manufacturing, real estate and medical (professional practices). She has worked with companies ranging from small to large.
Natalia came to Stern Cohen as a Senior Accountant in late 2015 and was promoted to Manager in January 2018. Her strong contributions to client projects (audits, reviews and preparing financial statements) have led to many successful outcomes.
Public accounting provides exposure to so many interesting people and fascinating industries. I’m an outgoing, active person and I really like working with business owners. It’s rewarding to help people to see new opportunities in their businesses. As a CPA, I can provide a fresh perspective and offer expertise, especially to the smaller companies that don’t have in-house accountants.
Clients appreciate my involvement and willingness to dive in to their business operations so that I can come back with resolutions to issues they’re dealing with. In addition, they appreciate my responsiveness when they request my support. Timing is so critical in this industry.
The value-added services are key! Plus, we’re meticulous and conscientious so our clients are confident that we won’t overlook anything.
