Geng has worked at a variety of different-sized accounting firms, including BDO Canada and MNP, before joining the Stern Cohen team in 2013.  Through this experience, he’s helped pilot businesses in fields such as:

A huge sports fan, Geng enjoys playing soccer and basketball. He’s recently picked up tennis, after growing up playing table tennis in China. If he’s not smashing it at the court, you may find him at a casino table, taking home some Blackjack winnings.

What do clients appreciate about you?

I’m friendly, but professional and clients appreciate my swift responsiveness.  These qualities have helped me develop good working relationships with my clients.

What makes Stern Cohen different?

The work environment, mostly. Everyone is friendly, easy to talk to and that makes pressure-filled situations less stressful. Partners really want to get to know staff, always giving feedback.

Do you have a personal hero?

My dad. He was tough on me growing up and pushed me really hard, making sure I had different interests outside of school. He encouraged me to learn piano — I hated it — but he’s a really resilient, tough guy. When we moved to Canada he worked night, day, whatever it took to pay the bills and send me to school.
