Senior Manager
As Senior Manager for our FIT Practice, Margaret brings deep experience from time spent at both large and small accounting firms. She is a private enterprise specialist, dedicated to client service. Margaret brings broad expertise in a number of industries including:
- Technology and software
- Start-ups
- Healthcare
- Programmatic advertising
- Retail
- Hospitality and tourism
- Science
- Pharmaceutical
- Charities and Not-for-profits
After working as a scientist in her early career, Margaret transitioned from analytical chemistry to accounting when she realized that more companies need accountants than chemists! This combined with her love of working with people and numbers attracted her to public accounting.
Margaret earned an honours degree in chemistry with a minor in computer science at McGill University and her accounting credit hours at Ryerson University before obtaining her CPA, CA designation in 2017.
Outside of work, you will find Margaret swimming, or shopping at St. Lawrence market in search of ingredients to make cakes and breads. She took up running in the pandemic (6 days a week), so you may spot her running on the lakeshore in her neon pink jacket.
What’s the most rewarding thing about being an accountant?
Working with business leaders and entrepreneurs and helping them achieve their goals, whether it’s the pursuit of growth or ‘just’ a sound night’s sleep.
