Paul has been with Stern Cohen since 1973.
He graduated from Ryerson University in 1976 with a Bachelor of Business Management degree. A year later, he obtained his CA designation.
Paul became a Partner in the firm in 1981.
In addition to his general practice, Paul specializes in litigation support, due diligence and fraud investigation. He augmented his experience by acquiring the designations, Certified Fraud Examiner in 1996, Certified Fraud Investigator in 2000 and Certified Management Consultant in 2001.
Paul has extensive knowledge of the real estate and manufacturing business sectors.
Paul serves on the firm's Executive Committee and, outside the office, Paul is on the executive of the Toronto chapter of The Association of Certified Fraud Investigators. He is also an avid squash player!

Prior to joining Stern Cohen in 1991, Ann practiced with a national accounting firm and subsequently provided tax consultation services to smaller independent accounting firms and other accounting professionals in the Greater Toronto Area.
Ann practices exclusively in the taxation department of Stern Cohen, which encompasses income and commodity taxes, estates and succession planning. Ann also actively provides tax consulting services to independent accounting practitioners across Canada.
Ann graduated from the University of Toronto in 1973 with a Bachelor of Science degree and obtained her CA designation in 1976. In 1998 she obtained her Certified Financial Planner certification.
She has worked with US citizens in Canada and provided practical, tax-oriented advice to family run businesses, including transition to the next generation. She has negotiated innumerable tax settlements with the Canada Revenue Agency.
Ann became a Partner in the firm in 1996.
Ann and her husband John have been involved in teaching marriage preparation courses to young couples for many years.

Jim joined Stern Cohen in 1969 and in 1974 he obtained the designation of Certified General Accountant. Jim attended Wilfred Laurier University and obtained his CA in 1980.
He became a Partner in the firm in 1981.
In addition to being a trusted advisor to small and medium sized businesses, Jim has wide-ranging experience in the construction, distribution and financial services sectors, as well as human resources management.
Jim is a member of the firm's Executive Committee and serves as the Coordinating Partner.

Lorne is a specialist in valuations and litigation support at Stern Cohen.
He graduated from the University of Toronto in 1976 with a Master of Science degree and obtained his CA designation in 1985.
Lorne became a Partner in the firm in 1995.
In 1995, he became a Chartered Business Valuator (CBV) and in 2003, obtained his diploma in Investigative and Forensic Accounting. As part of Stern Cohen's litigation support group, Lorne is frequently called upon to provide expert testimony in court.
In addition to conducting his general practice, Lorne has extensive knowledge of the labour union not-for-profit sector.

Bob began his professional career at Stern Cohen in 1964.
He acquired his CA in 1970 and became a Partner in the firm three years later in 1973.
Throughout his career, Bob has developed his practice, primarily, as an advisor to small to medium sized businesses. He has also honed his skills in the areas of negotiations, business succession and transition.
In addition to his general practice, which focuses on the logistics and transportation industries, Bob works extensively with trade associations in the not-for-profit sector.
Bob serves on the Executive Committee of the firm and chairs the Business Development Committee
Bob is married and the father to three daughters.

In recent years, Mike has cultivated an in-depth knowledge of, and expertise in, the computer and systems technology sector. He leads Stern Cohen's technology committee and is responsible for ensuring that the firm's equipment, systems and security remain at the forefront of the profession.
He joined the firm in 1983 following his graduation from the University of Waterloo, where he earned his BMath degree. He obtained his CA designation in 1984.
Mike has extensive knowledge of the distribution and service sectors, specifically the wholesale and the food retailing industries.
He became a Partner in the firm in 1995.
Outside the office Mike enjoys the occasional round of golf when not being run around by his three sons.

Keith graduated with an Honours BA from Oxford University in 1970 and with a MA and Doctor of Philosophy in 1973.
He joined the Toronto office of a national accounting firm, where he articled and obtained a CA designation in 1977.
He joined Stern Cohen in 1980 following a two year period as partner with a small, Toronto-based accounting firm.
Keith became Partner at Stern Cohen in 1982.
He practices exclusively in the taxation department of Stern Cohen, which includes income and commodity taxes, estates and succession planning. Keith also continues to provide tax consulting services to independent accounting practitioners across Canada.
Keith has extensive experience in the taxation of foreign-owned businesses and non-residents.
Keith has been a Member of the Canadian Tax Foundation since 1978, a Member of the Estate Planning Counsel of Toronto since 1997 and was admitted as a full Member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners in 2003.

Peter leads Stern Cohen Valuations Inc., the firm's specialist practice, which encompasses business and intellectual property valuation and litigation support services.
He began his professional career in 1993 with an international CA firm before joining a group of specialists in 1998 where, as Vice President, he specialized in the valuations and litigation support field.
He joined Stern Cohen Valuations Inc. as Principal in 2005 and became a Partner in 2007.
Peter holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Western Ontario and graduated in 1993 with an MBA from the University of Toronto.
He obtained his CA designation in 1995, his certification as a Chartered Business Valuator (CBV) in 2000 and his specialist designation in Investigative and Forensic Accounting (IFA) in 2002.
Peter has extensive experience in preparing valuations for tax and estate planning, for the purchase and sale of business interests and for matrimonial disputes. He has been retained as an expert in numerous complex business disputes in which damages have reached in excess of $300 million.
In addition to providing expert testimony in court, Peter has assisted in mediations, settlement discussions and case conferences.

Graham graduated from York University in 1989 with a Specialized Honours BA degree. Four years later, he obtained his CA designation.
Before joining Stern Cohen in the summer of 2001, Graham was with a large local firm in southern Ontario and subsequently as a partner with a small, Toronto-based, firm of chartered accountants.
His areas of expertise include the owner-manager business sector and not-for-profit organizations. He also has extensive experience in the real estate, manufacturing, wholesaling and construction industries.
Graham became a Partner at Stern Cohen in 2004.
Graham chairs Stern Cohen’s Human Resources Committee and is in charge of the firm’s recruitment program. When he is not in the office, Graham is honing his public speaking skills by teaching the firm's professional development course and spends time offering guidance to high school students regarding careers in accounting.

Jim graduated from Brock University in 1984 with an Honours BA degree. Shortly after obtaining his CA designation in 1991, Jim joined Stern Cohen.
During his 15 years at Stern Cohen, Jim has gained experience in a wide range of industries, including construction, wholesale, manufacturing and professional services.
In addition to his CA designation, Jim obtained his Certified Financial Planner designation in 1999 and has recently completed the Dale Carnegie public speaking program.

Jeff graduated from the University of Toronto in 1974 and obtained his CA designation in 1978.
Prior to joining Stern Cohen in 2003, Jeff worked exclusively with mid-sized Toronto CA firms.
Over his career, Jeff has been able to develop valued professional relationships with many owner managed clients. These clients rely on Jeff to take care of their accounting, tax and assurance needs.

Bob has been with the firm since its inception. He obtained his CA designation in 1966.
He became a Partner in the firm in 1972.
During his career Bob has built a diverse practice, primarily, as an advisor to small to medium sized businesses where he has honed his skills as a consultant to many of our clients.
When he is not advising clients, Bob pursues his interest in the arts and he performs charitable works as a Member of Gyro International. He is also involved with Habitat for Humanity.

Harold obtained his CA designation in 1957 and since 1959 has been a Partner in several Toronto-based CA firms.
He became a Partner at Stern Cohen in 1990 and retired from that position in early 2005.
Harold's individual expertise lies in the areas of private investment corporations and high net worth individuals.
When Harold is not offering his years of insight and counsel to Stern Cohen, he is involved in his hobby of woodworking.

Marv has been with the firm since its inception.
He obtained his CA designation in 1961 and, five years later, in 1967 he became a Partner in the firm. Having retired as a Partner in 2005, Marv continues to provide counsel to the firm and its clients.
For many years Marv served on the executive team of the firm's international affiliation group ACPA/JHI and served for three years as its President.
During his career Marv has built a diverse practice, primarily, as an advisor to owner-managed businesses providing guidance on a vast range of issues.
When not in the office, Marv enjoys travelling with his wife and spending time at his cottage.

Leonard obtained his CA in 1962 and merged his accounting practice with Stern Cohen six years later in 1968.
Leonard has over forty years of experience in providing an independent voice to owner-managed clients, particularly in the retail food sector and fresh food service.
He is a Member of the Integrative Management Challenge at the Joseph Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto.
As Counsel to the Firm, Leonard brings decades of experience and provides valuable insights to Stern Cohen and its clients.
He became a Partner in the firm in 1969.
